Terms & Conditions

Last updated: April 2026

1. About Us

YearWise is operated by Jagannath Software Services Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 07819137. Registered office: The Long Lodge, 265–269 Kingston Road, Wimbledon, London, SW19 3NW. Contact: [email protected]

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using YearWise you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms apply to all users including parents, guardians, and children using the service under parental supervision.

3. Service Description

YearWise provides an AI-powered primary school practice platform for UK children in Years 1–6, covering Maths, Reading, and GPS (Grammar, Punctuation & Spelling). Questions are generated by artificial intelligence and are intended as practice material only — they are not official SATs papers.

4. Eligibility and Parental Consent

YearWise is designed for children aged 5–11. Accounts must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 years old. By creating an account you confirm you are the parent or guardian and you consent to your child using the service.

After signing in, parents select which child profile is practising via the profile selection screen. YearWise includes a child mode that restricts access to account settings while a child is actively using the app. Parents can optionally set a 4-digit PIN on the parent view and on individual child profiles to control switching between modes.

5. Subscription Plans

We offer three plans:

  • Try Free — no payment required, one session per subject per day (up to 3 sessions total) across all subjects on Easy difficulty.
  • Plus — £9.99/month. Unlimited daily practice, one child profile, all subjects and difficulty levels, hints, AI-generated questions, progress dashboard, XP, badges, and streaks.
  • Family — £16.99/month. Everything in Plus, up to 3 child profiles with separate progress tracking, advanced analytics per child, and a parent summary report.
  • 11+ Pro — £24.99/month per child. Unlimited 11+ practice, all four subjects (Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning & Non-Verbal Reasoning), timed mock papers, study plan, and progress tracking. This is a separate subscription from Plus/Family plans.

All paid plans are monthly subscriptions with no lock-in. You may cancel at any time; your access continues until the end of the paid billing period. During early access, all plans are free — no credit card is required.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you have the right to cancel within 14 days of your first charge and receive a full refund. After 14 days, no refunds are issued for partial periods unless otherwise required by law.

6. AI-Generated Content

Questions and feedback on YearWise are generated by artificial intelligence. Whilst we take care to ensure quality and curriculum alignment, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. We do not warrant that all content is 100% accurate. Users should treat AI content as practice material and not as definitive educational authority.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the service.
  • Share subscription access with users outside your household.
  • Use the service for any commercial purpose without our written consent.
  • Upload or submit any unlawful, harmful, or offensive content.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, code, and design on YearWise are the intellectual property of Jagannath Software Services Limited or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the service without prior written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jagannath Software Services Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of YearWise. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period shall not exceed the subscription fees you paid during that period.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
