You've probably shared a pizza or scored a test before — that's fractions in real life! A fraction, decimal, and percentage are just three ways of saying the same thing.

• A fraction shows part of a whole — the top number (numerator) tells you how many parts you have.
• To convert a fraction to a decimal, divide the top by the bottom: 3 ÷ 10 = 0.3.
